The ChatGPT app for Mac is now available to all users, following an initial rollout limited to ChatGPT Plus subscribers in mid-May 2024. This app allows users to access ChatGPT using a simple keyboard shortcut (Option + Space) to ask questions about email, screenshots, websites, and other content on their Mac. The app includes a built-in Voice Mode for voice conversations with ChatGPT, a search feature to look through past conversations, and the ability to upload files and discuss screenshots directly within the app.

OpenAI and Apple have announced a partnership to integrate ChatGPT into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. This integration will allow Siri to hand over complicated requests to ChatGPT, with the user’s permission.
