Telegram Stars are a new in-app currency that users can acquire through standard Apple and Google in-app purchases, as well as via the @PremiumBot. These Stars can then be used to purchase a variety of digital goods and services offered by bots and mini apps on the platform.
The introduction of Telegram Stars is driven by the need to comply with Apple and Google’s guidelines on in-app purchases. Starting June 12, all payments for digital goods and services within Telegram bots and mini apps must be carried out exclusively using Telegram Stars.
