As of July 2024, Microsoft has begun rolling out these new features to all Windows 11 users, following an initial rollout to Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev channels back in March 2024.

The spell-check feature in Notepad now highlights misspelled words in red, similar to Microsoft Word’s spell-check functionality. Users can click, tap, or use the keyboard shortcut Shift + F10 on the misspelled word to view suggested corrections. The feature also allows users to ignore words in a single document or add them to the dictionary to avoid future flagging.
