According to the report, Apple is developing a new AI assistant that is distinct from Siri, designed specifically for future Apple robotics devices. This new humanlike interface is being built using generative AI and is intended to run on upcoming robotic products, such as a tabletop device, which are not expected to debut until 2026 or 2027. The new assistant will have capabilities that differ from those of Siri, suggesting that Apple believes the needs of robotics devices warrant a separate and potentially more advanced AI interface.
