Meta CEO Admits to Government-Pressured COVID Content Censorship on Facebook

Zuckerberg stated that senior officials from the Biden Administration, including those from the White House, “repeatedly pressured” Facebook for months to take down specific COVID-19 content, including humor and satire. Zuckerberg expressed regret over Facebook’s decision to comply with these demands, stating that “the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it”.
