This new feature allows users to upload images or take photos directly from their Android device and have Aria interpret and provide context about the images. This capability is part of Opera’s ongoing efforts to enhance user interaction with visual content using AI.
To use the Image Understanding feature, users need to access Aria within the Opera browser. Tap the “+” sign to the left of the chat input field to upload an image from your gallery or take a new photo using the camera icon. Once the image is uploaded, Aria uses its AI capabilities to identify elements and sections of the image, providing users with relevant information based on their queries. For example, if you take a picture of a monument while traveling, Aria can identify the monument, provide its name, location, and other relevant details.
