The cost for replacing an out-of-warranty battery in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max has been increased to $119 in the United States. This represents a 20% increase from the $99 fee that was applicable for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. The higher cost is attributed to several factors, including the larger batteries and internal design changes in the iPhone 16 Pro models. These changes include a new metal shell to improve heat dissipation, which may require additional labor for battery replacements.

Battery Replacement Fees

The fee for battery replacements remains $99 for the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. Customers with AppleCare+ coverage will still be able to get their iPhone 16 Pro batteries replaced for free, provided the battery retains less than 80% of its original capacity.
