The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition boasts a refined and sleek design, making it the thinnest and lightest model in the Z Fold series to date. With a thickness of 10.6 mm and a weight of 236 grams, it is 1.5 mm thinner and 3 grams lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which was released in July 2024.
Displays and Screens
The device features larger screens compared to its predecessor, including a 6.5-inch LTPO AMOLED 2X cover screen and an 8-inch main screen, both with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The external screen has a 21:9 aspect ratio, while the main screen has a 10:9 aspect ratio. Both panels are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the cover screen, although the main foldable panel still uses the existing Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) technology.
