According to a report by Canalys, Apple hit its highest third-quarter iPhone shipment volume ever. This performance brought Apple very close to leading the global smartphone market for the quarter, with the company’s market share nearly matching Samsung’s. Both Apple and Samsung held around 18% of the global smartphone market share in Q3 2024, a significant narrowing from the previous year when Samsung held a 21% share to Apple’s 17%.
