The new Mac mini boasts a stunningly compact design, measuring just 5 by 5 inches, which is less than half the size of the previous model. This reduction in size is achieved through the power efficiency of Apple silicon and an innovative new thermal architecture that guides air up through the device’s foot to different levels of the system.

Powerful Chip Options

The Mac mini is now available with two powerful chip options: the M4 and the M4 Pro. The M4 chip features a 10-core CPU (with 4 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores) and a 10-core GPU, offering up to 1.8x faster CPU performance and 2.2x faster GPU performance compared to the M1 model from 2020. The M4 Pro chip takes it a step further with a 14-core CPU (10 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores) and a 20-core GPU, making it up to twice as powerful as the GPU in the standard M4 model. Both chips introduce hardware-accelerated ray tracing to the Mac mini for the first time and include a significantly more powerful Neural Engine.
