As announced at I/O 2024 in May, Google Wallet for Android has introduced an expanded “Everything else” option for creating digital passes. This feature replaces the old “Photo” option and allows users to scan a photo of any pass, such as event tickets, gym memberships, insurance cards, and more, to create a digital version within Google Wallet.

Users can scan a photo of the physical document or pass, and Google’s AI determines the type of pass and suggests the content. Users can then edit common fields and add their own information. The pass can be classified into various types, including business cards, car insurance, driver’s licenses, health insurance, ID cards, library cards, loyalty cards, and more.
