Instagram and Spotify have introduced a new feature that enables users to add songs from Instagram posts, stories, and Reels directly to their Spotify library with just a few taps. This integration is designed to simplify the process of music discovery and make it easier for users to save songs they like without leaving the Instagram app.
To use this feature, users need to tap on the song name in an Instagram post, story, or Reel to go to the song screen. On this screen, a new “Add” button with the Spotify logo appears next to the media player. Tapping this button allows users to add the song to their Spotify library or a preferred playlist. This process is streamlined, eliminating the need to search for the song on Spotify manually.
Linking Spotify Account to Instagram
To utilize this feature, users must link their Spotify account to their Instagram account. The option to link the accounts will appear the first time the “Add” button is clicked. Once linked, songs added from Instagram will be saved to the “Liked Songs” playlist and appear under the “Your Library” tab on Spotify.
