The Meta Quest 3S has been revealed through a series of leaked images, showcasing the headset from multiple angles. These images confirm that the Quest 3S will be the first Meta headset to lack a 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature also absent in other VR headsets like Apple’s Vision Pro and HTC’s Vive Pro 2.

Battery Capacity and Expected Battery Life
The leaked images also reveal the battery capacity of the Quest 3S, which is rated at 16.74Wh. This places it between the battery capacities of the Meta Quest 2 (14Wh) and the Meta Quest 3 (18.9Wh). Based on this, the battery life is expected to be similar to that of the Quest 2 and Quest 3, lasting approximately 2 to 3 hours depending on usage.

Pricing and Launch Date
A significant leak indicates that the Meta Quest 3S will be priced at $299 and will launch on October 16, 2024. This price point is identical to the 64GB Oculus Quest 2 launched in 2020 but includes 128GB of storage, a substantial upgrade. The Quest 3S is positioned as a more affordable alternative to the Quest 3, combining elements from both the Quest 2 and Quest 3.
