Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024: Major Product Launches and AI Innovations Unveiled in Paris

Samsung unveiled the latest iterations of its foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6. The Galaxy Z Fold6 boasts a wider and taller screen for more comfortable viewing, enhanced durability with a new shear thickening fluid (STF) coating, and a dual rail hinge for added strength. The device also features improved AI capabilities, including Circle to Search and Circle to Learn with Google, which enable instant full-screen translation and step-by-step problem-solving. The Galaxy Z Flip6 has been reimagined with a 50-megapixel wide sensor, a ProVisual engine that uses AI to optimize camera performance, and enhanced features like Auto Zoom and Instant Slow-Mo. The FlexCam has also been improved for a hands-free experience.

Samsung unveiled two new smartwatches: the Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Galaxy Watch7. The Galaxy Watch Ultra is designed for extreme sports enthusiasts, featuring a titanium case, a three-nanometer application processor for enhanced performance, and a precision dual-frequency GPS system for increased location accuracy. It also includes health monitoring features such as blood oxygen detection, stress and sleep analysis, and workout tracking. The Galaxy Watch7 is positioned as a versatile everyday health companion, offering biometric tracking, motivation for wellness, and improved performance with a new processor.

Samsung introduced its first-ever smart ring, the Galaxy Ring, which is equipped with sensors to monitor health metrics continuously. This device can measure vital signs like heart rate and sleep patterns, and it integrates with Samsung’s ecosystem, including smartwatches and smartphones. The Galaxy Ring is priced at $399 and will be available on July 24.
